Hidden Treasures

(Matthew 13:44-52)

During the summer, we will have several guest speakers and preachers share from God's Word.

Is being Christian worth it? It's an uncomfortable question that we have probably all wondered at one point or another. This is the question that Pastor Niels Van De Kasteele works to answer by looking at one of Jesus' parables in his sermon.

In the parable of the hidden treasure, Jesus teaches that accepting Him as our savior and following Him into God's everlasting Kingdom is worth everything we have in this life. Not only is it worth it for us, but it is so valuable and precious that it is worth sharing with others.

Faith Over Fear

(Matthew 14:22-33)

During the summer, we will have several guest speakers and preachers share from God's Word.

Fear. We are all familiar with this feeling. There is always something for us to be scared of or to worry about. Our lives can feel like they are full of storms.

In this sharing, our church brother Derby looks at the well-known passage in Matthew of Jesus calling Peter to walk on water. This passage encourages us to choose faith over fear. We can follow Jesus when he calls us to come and trust Him to keep us from sinking.

First John - The Love Command

(1 John 3:11-18)

In this passage of scripture John commands us to love one another. This may seem straight-forward until we realize that our understanding of what love is shapes how we interpret this teaching. In today's sermon we explore what John really means when he commands us to love one another.
